Snapology Camp Descriptions:

Animal Explorers

The animals living in our backyards or in our towns are very different from the animals in other parts of the world. In Snapology’s Animal Explorers camp, students will learn where animals live and why an animal’s habitat is important for survival. Through picture books, games, and building animals with DUPLO®  blocks, your little learner will be busy exploring biomes of the world while gaining critical social and developmental skills without even realizing it!

Discovering Dinosaurs

Students will travel far back in time and explore the world of the stegosaurus, tyrannosaurus, and raptors. They will identify basic body parts, habitats, and diets of some of their favorite dinosaurs, all while practicing counting and colors, and having fun!

RoboPets

Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build moving animals that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about animal habitats, or discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building snapping alligators and robotic dogs, your child is sure to have a great time. We will use LEGO®  WeDo 2.0 robotic sets and iPads to build and program our RoboPets!

Scientists

Does your child love to experiment and ask questions about the world around them? If so, it sounds like you already have a little scientist on your hands! Snapology’s Scientists program helps children explore their curiosities and cultivate a deep love for science by experiencing the different domains of scientific study & nature. Students will engage with concepts from the fields of astronomy, earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics using LEGO® bricks and other interactive learning tools. We make science fun, exciting, and approachable at Snapology!

STEAM Survivor

Does your learner have what it takes to be a STEAM Survivor?  Snapology’s STEAM Survivor program will put your students’ design, building, and critical thinking skills to the test! They will be given daily challenges for which they must design functional solutions with their teammate! They will earn Survivor Bucks when they perform well and be able to use those survivor bucks to purchase supplies or prizes throughout the camp. The goal of this program is to encourage our students to carefully work through the engineering design process to see how often they can design with a purpose.  The tasks & challenges include a great variety of topics such as: race cars, fidget spinners, nesting dolls, coding, a fashion show, catapults, and engineering escapes.  Although the tasks will be challenging, they will be structured and guided by a trained Snapologist who will make sure your child gets the support they need to be successful and get the most out of this unique, challenging program! This camp is the perfect place for students to push their STEM and building skills to the next level!

Creature Creator

In Snapology's Creature Creator Robotics class, your animal lover will create their own animal inspired robotic models. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build insects, dolphins, gorillas, and much more. Your child is sure to have a wild time as they build, learn, and play. This program is from Snapology’s robotics variety. Campers will build the models with instructions, and then use a tablet and block-coding application to program the robot’s motor and sensors to perform tasks. Students will be introduced to programming principles of loops, triggers, inputs, outputs and more! Camp shirts are included!

Refund Policy

A full refund minus $25.00 will be given if you cancel two weeks prior the start date of your registration.  If you cancel less than two weeks of the start of registration no refund will be given.  This is to ensure that we have proper time to fill the opening.  Thank you for understanding!
